Met Tsuey in school today for coffee, which was quite disastrous for me since the coffee spilled on me. Totally not my fault since I didn't know the cover came out =( Anyhow she was telling me I looked different from the pictures on Althea's wall and I thought, why not do a post with my past photos and all. Found quite a few, well rather 'amusing' photos which unfortunately you won't get to see today because I've decided to post on something else =p So till then, save your laughter.

Went to twilight market again the other night, pretty much the same ol' boring stuff but amazingly enough, something actually caught our eyes! Having a cast of your hands is quite common in Singapore, if memory doesn't fail me, they have/had those wax cast thing in vivo, just outside giant. So anyhow, we saw somehow getting a cast of his face! How amazing is that? Subjecting yourself to 'torture' for a good 20 minutes in front of everyone just to have a cast of your face for you to admire forever? Maybe it'll be a good heirloom? haha, okay I'm just being mean, but the whole process was rather interesting.

Firstly the guy had to pretend to submerge his face into the bowl you see below (it was orginally empty) to see if he can hold his breath for 30 sec. After that the owner filled the bowl with water, covered the front of the guy's shirt with clingwrap, which personally I felt was rather useless coz he got wet anyway. Okay, so the guy had to submerge his head in water this time, even wetting his hair and all. After the 30 sec was up, he was given some shampoo to cover his hair with so that the jelly won't stick to his hair I think. Meanwhile, the owner prepares this mixture of jello which was a cute purple colour when still watery.

Photobucket

As you can see, the guy was preparing to submerge his head again for the last time.

Photobucket

Meanwhile we were admiring the other handiworks.

Photobucket

Ready.... set.... go!

Photobucket

tick tock, tick tock

Photobucket

And tada! I know you can't see much from here but the jello turned to a light pink colour, and it has the guy's face imprinted in it.

Photobucket

Anyway, end of the face cast story, as we were nearing the end of the market we saw the cutest dog ever! I've seen it most times we went the twilight market but I never did realise (or probably don't remember =p) that one of them had the cutest heart shape print on it.

Photobucket

We didn't manage to get a clear shot but isn't it just the cutest thing ever?

On another random note, we decided to try cooking our kangaroo meat last saturday. It was alright but next time we should either thaw it much earlier, or just cook it when we buy it from the supermart. Somehow it was still kinda tough although it was a nice medium rare.

Photobucket

Roast vegetables! yummy the pumpkin was really sweet!

Photobucket

Kangaroo meat. Seriously don't ewwww me, it's not as sinful (to me) as eating dog's meat and if memory doesn't fail me, they actually promote eating kangaroo meat as they are too many roo's around.

Photobucket

Fried rice, cooked by kor. Somehow I think I cant cook fried rice for nuts. So much for if you can't cook a proper fried rice, you can't be a chef.

Photobucket
