This is going to sound stupid. Of all things, I'm starting to develop a phobia for fire alarms. Tried finding out the actual name but seems like there isn't any.
I've heard so many fire alarms that sometimes when it rings in my block I'd be worried that I'm the one setting it off. Did I turn off the stove? The steam from the shower (apparently one of the main reasons for fire alarms going off at my hostel is due to people showering with the door open)?
Last night nearly made my heart jump out. Just as I was in deep slumber it went off and for a minute I was wondering if we needed to head down. A quick check with Val assured me I could go back to sleep with the alarm as background music. tsk. I know I used to sleep with the radio on when I was much younger but this is way too 'happening' to sleep with.
So apparently they were checking if the lights on the smoke detector were glowing (for I don't know what reason) and when I decided to go for my usual shower before going out I found that the toilet lights weren't working and didn't help the kitchen lights failed to turn on as well.
Classes as usual (or rather my 2nd tut in ages) and guess what? The fire alarm went off at the start of tuts. No prizes for guessing this correctly though.
Like seriously. Why does the fire alarm go off in school? Did some stupid guy decided to smoke in the building? Or did they decide that its such a waste to have fire alarms if it doesn't work? What contributed to it sounding its 'lovely' music?
Stupid ey. Phobias of fire alarm.
